About Dean

Like so many others, I came into the recruitment industry by chance back in 2007.  I was a candidate who was changing jobs within the finance industry and after having an ordinary candidate experience, I was left thinking, 'surely recruitment can’t be this hard to do'?  So after doing my research, I took the plunge and became a Recruiter, with my only regret being that I hadn't made the move sooner.

I attribute my longevity and success in this industry to having a genuine interest in people, communicating with transparency and working hard to achieve the best possible outcomes for everyone I work with. 

Outside of work

You can find me tackling DIY projects around home, cheering on my girls at dancing or soccer, playing golf (poorly) or catching up with family and friends over a BBQ.

I’m a career Recruiter who is as passionate about the industry today as when I started. I have successfully recruited through skills shortages, economic booms, the GFC and now Covid-19. As the Director of West Technology, the IT recruitment division of West, I specialise in recruitment of senior to executive level of IT professionals throughout Western Sydney. I am very much a ‘hands on’ Recruiter with the ability to manage ‘end to end’ recruitment processes as well as build and maintain relationships with companies of all shapes and sizes.
