A fantastic opportunity for a Business Services Intermediate to join a well-established Chartered Accounting firm situated in the heart of Sydney CBD.

Our Client

This interesting role is with a well-structured, polished Chartered Accounting practice in the Sydney CBD. A 5 Partner firm with a sophisticated client base including some larger, more complex groups. With a lively, collaborative team environment, the firm supports ongoing career development for their staff and long term career progression to senior management level.

Reporting to a manager and working in a team, this is a hands-on role where you will devote most of your time to your broad portfolio of clients, assisting them with their accounting and tax requirements from start to finish, providing advice and adding value

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of BAS/IAS on a monthly or quarterly basis
  • Preparation of financial accounts and income tax returns for companies, trusts, superannuation funds, partnerships and individuals
  • Auditing of SMSFs
  • Identify with tax issues in FBT, CGT & Div7a
  • Skilled in preparation of budgets and cashflow projections were required
  • Liaise with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients including ATO and ASIC
  • Corporate maintenance of companies
  • Data entry and reconciliation duties
  • In additional to correspondence to clients and other ad-hoc tasks as assigned from time to time

The successful candidate will have:

  • At least 1 and half to 2 years’ experience working in an Australian Chartered Accounting Practice
  • Degree qualified in Accounting
  • commenced or part CA/CPA
  • Ability provide exceptional service as well as manage multiple tasks and work towards deadlines
  • Proactive attitude, self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • Strong interpersonal skills to deal directly with clients face-to-face, via email, and over the phone.
  • Proficiency in multiple accounting software including the following are essential: Handisoft, MYOB , Xero, Quickbooks, Advanced MS Excel and MS Word software experience
