Our client is a vibrant for-purpose organisation known for their warm and welcoming culture. This business is dedicated to making a positive impact in their community and beyond. They are currently seeking a positive and proactive Accountant to join their team on a 6-month contract.

About your new role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will primarily focus on accounting reconciliations and general ledger tasks, playing a key role in resolving issues and improving processes in Netsuite.

Your core duties will include:
•Conduct reconciliations of accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies promptly.
•Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, month-end close processes, and financial reporting.
•Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to streamline accounting procedures.
•Collaborate with internal teams to address financial inquiries and provide support as needed.
•Assist in ad hoc projects and tasks to support the finance department's objectives.

About you!
•Professional Accounting qualification such as CA/CPA
•Proficiency and experience in Netsuite
•3-5 years of experience in accounting roles
•Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
•Proactive mindset with a positive attitude and ability to work independently.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

On offer
•$45-$55 per hour + super (depending on experience and suitability)
