About your new job
Working within a small finance team you will have full responsibility for the AP & AR function as well as assisting with ad-hoc finance and admin tasks.
•Match all incoming invoices to purchase orders and ensure that pricing, quantities, coding, and charges are correct
•Resolve all supplier account queries and discrepancies
•Communicate with branches and staff to amend any queries and incorrect invoicing
•Complete Supplier Applications and create into the system
•Produce payment batches and process bank payments
•Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports to management and branches as required
•Contact Customers to follow up and resolve all account queries, payments, and outstanding invoices
•Investigate credit claims and refunds and initiate appropriate action to rectify any issues.
•Produce overdue reminder letters each month and send to customers outside acceptable terms
•Assistance in receipting and allocating customer payments
•Assistance in completing customer credit applications and credit reference checks
•Daily, reconcile bank statements and liaise with Financial Controller with any discrepancies
Ensure vendor and customer master data is accurate and updated regularly
•Assist finance team with any ad-hoc administrative tasks as required
About You
You will be an experienced Accounts Payable and Receivable Officer with the ability to manage an end-to-end process in both areas.
•Previous background in a similar capacity/accounts all-rounder
•Proficiency with Excel
•Ideally some exposure to large ERP Systems
•High level of accuracy and attention to detail
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills
•Ability to work autonomously and be a self-starter
