West Technology has been exclusively engaged to recruit an Azure Data Engineer for a growing Australian technology company. This business has invested significantly in it’s Microsoft technology stack and is looking to lift the capability of its’ data function.

About Your New Role

As the Data Engineer, you will work closely with the CTO and take ownership of the data function for the business. This role is pivotal to the design, develop and maintenance of the data integration platform.
This is a broad role that will see you work across the entire data lifecycle.

The key responsibilities will include:
•Collaborate across business functions to define, design and deliver new features.
•Contribute to the design and architecture of the overall data ecosystem.
•Architect and implement a webhook-based notification system.
•Develop and manage data pipelines and workflows using Azure Data Factory and other orchestration tools.
•Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of data processing systems.
•Build data pipelines deploying models, maintain the DevOps process
•Create data tools and scripts to support Analytics function.
•Participate in the design and ongoing management of company databases
•Oversee controls and data governance including security requirements

About You!
•Is a proven Data Engineer with experience overseeing the entire data lifecycle.
•Will come from working with Microsoft tech stacks and will hold Azure certifications.
•You bring extensive experience with Microsoft products including Azure services (Event hub, Data factory, API Management).
•You will be able to program during the course of your role (IE: C++, C#, Python or R).
•Is skilled with database technologies (MS SQL, SQL, NoSQL, ORM frameworks etc).
•Brings experience with containerization technologies ideally within a hybrid architecture
•You are strong at building data pipelines and working with data tools to achieve your outcomes.
•Interpersonally, you are a strong communicator who can build strong working relationships with your peers and know how to use data to deliver value to the business.
