About Your New Role

Sitting within the highly skilled Telecommunications team and the wider Technology Operations function, this operationally focused role will lead in the roadmap design, deployment and support of Telco services for the organisation.

The primary responsibilities for this position will include:
•Designing and building optical fibre, microwave and radio communications systems to architectural strategies and to meet business needs.
•Provide strategic direction to the planning and development of Telecommunications capabilities focussing on the optical fibre, microwave and radio communication systems.
•Develop and maintain standards of communications networks supporting the SCADA and protection electrical network control systems.
•Plans and lead development solutions of life cycle plans, new requirements, features and functionality of optical fibre, microwave and radio communications systems.
•Provide regular data and input performance and risk management as well as overseeing vendor SLA reporting.

About You!
•Degree or have completed formal training in the engineering or telecommunication fields or hold a comparable qualification.
•Hands-on experience in the design and management of optical fibre, microwave & radio communication systems.
•Demonstrated knowledge of Cisco, Juniper & Nokia products (ideally with training/certifications)
•Experienced working within the ITIL framework
•Hold Workcover Induction for Construction Work - General Course ticket
