The Opportunity

The Data Specialist is a newly created role that will bring structure and process to the data function and assist in the creation of a data strategy that will allow the business to grow and scale.
This person will bring rigor and control in the way this business collects data and ensures that it is both accurate and secure. This role will see you interact directly with business stakeholders, with your primary contacts being Data Analysts, DevOps teams and reporting / finance analysts.

Some of the key tasks include:
•Consult with your stakeholders to thoroughly understand data requirements and mapping specifications
•Design, develop, and maintain data integration solutions
•Monitor and troubleshoot data integration issues, and provide root cause analysis and resolution
•Keep up-to-date documentation of data integration processes and procedures
•Assist in the development and implementation of data governance policies and standards
•Participate in data quality improvement initiatives as well as supporting and training users

Your Background
•Will be a passionate Data professional who has studied a data related qualification or have held a similar position.
•Have experience with data integration tools
•Understands cloud technologies and how they relate to data governance.
•Strong SQL skills and experience with multiple database environments.
•Experience developing ETL processes
Ability to understand complex data structures
•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
•Exposure to diverse tech stacks and technologies such as Google Cloud, Azure DevOps, AWS Redshift etc, will be beneficial.
