About your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will take full ownership for the organisations fixed assets register across multiple sites. You will be responsible for about 45,000 + assets.
Some of the key tasks associated with this role include:
•Be accountable for recording the cost of newly acquired fixed assets,
•Tracking existing fixed and portable or attractive assets,
process monthly depreciation,
accounting for the disposal of fixed assets,
•Track the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts
•Reconcile the balance in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the summary-level account in the general ledger
•Track company expenditures for fixed assets in comparison to the budget
•Provide recommendations on the life expectancy of fixed assets
About You
The successful candidate for this role will be someone who looks beyond the reported numbers, have a curious mindset to analyse and identify the information they work with. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step of their career from an assistant accountant position.
•You will be CPA/CA qualified or working towards
•You will have 3-5 years experience in an asset accounting role.
•You will have experience within a fast paced environment.
•Can demonstrate sound system skills particularly with MS Excel and has previous exposure to a mid tier ERP systems.
•Interpersonally, you communicate in a professional and transparent style and present yourself in a corporate manner. You will see yourself as a true business partner and thrive in a stakeholder driven environment.
