Your new employer is a leading and respected institution that has grown to become a leader in the educational sector. This privately owned organization is seeking the right individual to join their team on a part-time bases and continue providing high level service their Maintenance team.

The Role
They are seeking a Support Officer at their Wahroonga based site. This position undertakes general operational, repair and maintenance tasks, coordinates bookings and maintains a high standard of presentation to ensure financial sustainability and suitability for school, CSBB, parish and diocesan community use. This is a temporary part-time position until the end of 2023, based at Wahroonga.


This position is part-time and will work 15.2 hours per week across 5 weekdays. To ensure stakeholders and contractors can access TLOCC as they require, this position requires someone who is flexible and adaptable to respond to their needs.This position reports to the TLOCC Manager.


Key role responsibilities
•Performs general day-to-day tasks ensuring the general presentation of TLOCC is suitable for use.
•Undertakes duties, as instructed and outlined in the program for building maintenance, repair, cleaning, rubbish disposal and stock supply.
•Works to minimize risk on site and assists in the rectification of any compliance related concerns with the TLOCC Manager.
•Displays a welcoming demeanour to all stakeholders utilising TLOCC.
•Ensures contractors and other external parties have access to TLOCC as required.
•Assists in maintaining the booking schedule and liaises with school, parish and diocesan staff to ensure TLOCC availability can accommodate their request.
•Assists in the management and accommodation of 3rd party bookings.
•Facilitates external party training in the usage of TLOCC facilities (e.g. sound system), WHS induction prior to the hire date, and awareness of set up and close down requirements of the venue.
•Refers and/or assists in handling complaints, concerns and other feedback from stakeholders and neighbours of TLOCC with the TLOCC Manager.
•Ensures general administrative/financial management tasks associated with property management (as delegated by the TLOCC Manager) is performed to a high standard.
•Supports the delivery of small projects and tasks across the Cathedral Precinct as appropriate.

About You

•Certified trade credential or an equivalent level of subject matter knowledge gained through any combination of education, training and/or experience
•Demonstrated record of adopting a consultative and innovative approach in the delivery of facility management services.
•Has general knowledge and experience in facilities/property management and repair and maintenance of a commercial facility, inclusive of WHS legislative requirements.
•Practical experience inducting and/or training on-site visitors before using a commercial facility.
•Has sound knowledge and skill in the Microsoft suite of products.
•Supportive of, or can demonstrate an understanding and commitment to, the ethos of the Catholic faith in an educational context.
•Valid Working With Children Check.
•Current NSW Driver’s Licence (and own car required).
