About YOUR new job
You will play a key role in successfully navigating the network modelling and connection process of key greenfield renewable energy projects in regional NSW. In identifying opportunities and risks, you will work across the full lifecycle of their asset portfolio, with key responsibilities including:
•Develop strategy for project connections, create plans, and manage outcomes.
•Perform PSSE/PSCAD modelling for system faults, load flow, and dynamic analysis.
•Provide Power System Engineering advice for in-house projects, bids, and operational assets.
•Supervise consultants for Generator Performance Standards and feasibility studies.
•Develop Generator commissioning plans and R2 testing requirements.
•Prepare connection application studies for TNSP and AEMO.
•Assist with commissioning coordination and AMEO hold point testing.
•Provide technical advice for operational system upgrades or modifications.
About YOU
You will be excited by the idea of working on projects that are a first in Australia. You’ll be self-driven, with a desire to tread new ground. From a technical perspective, ideally you will have:
•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification
•Experience with power system modeling tools such as PSS/E, PSCAD and PowerFactory.
•Background in a technical position within the renewable energy sector, focusing on power generation, transmission, or distribution, with hands-on experience in power system design and implementation.
•Familiarity with grid connection processes involving AEMO, DNSPs, and TNSPs
•The organisation is a strong believer in development potential, so there is flexibility around your years of experience, from recent graduate up to a senior level.
