About your new Employer!

Your new employer is a globally listed organisation located in the Western Suburbs. This business is a market leader in their industry and is forward-thinking and innovative in the way that they engage with their customer base. They are well positioned for growth due to recent acquisitions and are therefore looking for a dynamic Project Accountant to join them for an initial 3-month contract with scope for extension. You'll be part of a friendly and dynamic company where you'll be working in a collaborative team environment.

About your new role

This position has arisen due to increased workload resulting from M&A activities, ongoing projects, and acquisition disposals.

Your core duties will include:
•Perform technical accounting tasks related to M&A activities and projects
•Compile and analyze financial data to produce accurate forecasts and cash flow projections.
•Conduct thorough research to gather relevant information for financial analysis and reporting.
•Prepare financial reports, presentations, and proposals for internal and external stakeholders.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and ensure project deadlines are met.
•Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
•Provide support during audits and financial due diligence processes.
•Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external parties to address any accounting-related inquiries or issues.

About you!

You will be a CA/CPA qualified Accountant with strong technical accounting skills. You will have demonstrated the ability to work autonomously, and be adept at compiling financial forecasts, cash flows, and proposals. Big 4 background is preferred but not essential.

You will also be a hands-on self-starter who loves improving processes and are proactive. You are commercially minded, you operate with initiative and drive and enjoy collaboration and working as part of a team.
