They manufacture ground support products in 3 major locations within Australia and in addition to these facilities, they have multiple distribution warehousing and service centres located throughout Australia providing fast access to products for interstate and regionally based customers.

They have a dedicated research and development centre, and personnel have set a new benchmark within the Australian mining and tunnelling industry for the development of new underground ready to use support products.

Your new role
This role is a complex mix of technical sales and marketing to the Mining and Tunnelling industry here in Australia. The role would involve establishing and maintaining sales, deliveries and technical support to construction, civil and tunnelling projects.

In addition to this, the role requires participation in product research and development activities for construction, civil and tunnelling and success would be measured by the timely development, commercialisation (including profitability) and industry / governmental approval of new and enhanced geotechnical ground support products

Other responsibilities include:
•Development and maintenance of construction, civil and tunnelling sales, supply and technical support through a program of customer visits, customer liaison activities, tendering, quoting and technical and logistical servicing
•Participation in product research and development activities, including trials and introduction of products to suit specific construction, civil and tunnelling projects and conditions
•Involvement in the specification of products and technical data
•Involvement in the specification of construction, civil and tunnelling technical support operating procedures, including Occupational Health & Safety practices and standard operating procedures for equipment used by construction, civil and tunnelling technical support personnel
•Conduct technical support activities provided to construction, civil and tunnelling customers and potential customers
•Assistance in upgrade and maintenance of catalogue
•Assistance in product Quality Control functions
Maintenance of relationships with customers, potential customers, consultants, research organisations and the industry in general
•Involvement with strategic planning for medium and long term direction and growth of this division

What we need from you
To be successful in the role you would need to demonstrate experience working in a similar role as well as having formal qualifications related to the work.
