Your New Role

As the Technology Business Partner, you will work to ensure the delivery of a portfolio of products and services that best meet the strategic IT goals of the organisation. This trusted position will have genuine influence over the direction of the IT function for the wider organisation as well as manage the interactions between internal stakeholders, delivery teams and external partners.

The key duties aligned to this position include:
•Assess existing business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement in consultation with the business.
•Partner with business leaders to develop technology driven solutions to overcome roadblocks or operational issues.
•Identify and engage with IT vendors & service providers with a focus on building robust and effective working relationships.
•Develop business cases to support the implementation of new technologies including ROI and benefit realisation to secure funding.
•Proactively work to build strong internal relationships throughout the business and position the IT function as a true business partner to operations.
•Drive best practice and continuous improvement agendas in partnership with executive leadership.
•Analyse results and prepare reports on delivered projects or realised benefits & ROI for the executive team.

Your Background
•You are a proven Business Partner with an ability to bring people together.
•You are highly organised and excel at proactive and open communication that is both written and verbal.
•You bring a genuine interest and understanding of current technologies and how they can be leveraged in the business.
•You have financial acumen combined with the knowledge to build detailed business cases to support decision making.
•Interpersonally, you see stakeholder management as your key strength. You are able to bring a mature and measured approach to each interaction and work to position yourself as a true business partner.

There are multiple backgrounds that could make you successful in this position. You can come from a dedicated business partnering position in IT, finance or similar or be an experienced Business Analyst that is looking for career progression. Working for an external IT vendor is also a viable avenue into this position.
