Job Description


Your new employer
This is a multi-national industrial equipment supplier to the hospitality, hotel, hospital, and cruise liner industry. Without their sophisticated systems and equipment, these businesses would come to a standstill.

Your new role
The role of WHS Officer is an integral part of the success of the business and would work closely with the Operations Manager and Project Managers delivering new installations on-site and helping with the commissioning process.
The role would cover:
•Site induction processes and systems are maintained
•Ensure regular safety meetings are undertaken across the various sites
•Coordinate and participate in internal audits
•Assist in the continuous improvement of the organisations WHS policy, procedures and processes.
•Lead serious incident investigations and provide investigative support to Management
•Assist in the development of emergency response plans and WHS procedures.
•Ensure organisational compliance with the WHS Act, Environmental Act, Accident Compensation Act and supporting regulations.
•Analyse, develop, and implement Project Work Health and Safety plans
•Undertake site inspections and risks assessments as required
•Reviewing Safe Work Method Statements and Site WHS Start-up documentation
•Assisting the Project Delivery Team with the implementation of WHS Systems
•Assist as a backup for sales and projects administration work

What we need from you
To be successful you will have the following:
•Experience in a similar role
•Experience in a heavy industrial, engineering, production or manufacturing environment where there has been significant high-risk equipment involved
•Must have good communications skills.
•Strong organization skills with a problem-solving attitude.
•Excellent time management, attention to detail and organizational skills
•Ability to work with computer programs: - Outlook & Microsoft tools such as Excel, Word Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc
